JOEL THOMAS.... JT to most, is the lead singer, guitarist and founder of Highway 1. Born in northern California, raised during the 60's and spending years playing in New York City. JT reflects those times in both his songwriting and performing. He has toured throughout the USA, parts of Europe and the Caribbean, playing country music and rock and roll, also bringing those influences to the bands sound. He thinks of himself as an entertainer first and a singer/musician second, which is evident in the bands performances. A vast selection of styles and artists influence his musical approach.
TERRY (TEA) WALLACE...Born in Georgia and raised in Florida,Tea considers himself a local, growing up on Florida's east coast, surfing, fishing and living life in a laid back lane. Tea has played with many great Floridian musicians since the 1970's. He plays bass, harmonica and adds both lead and background vocals to the Highway 1 sound.
JOE BATTISTA....Just call him “Bat”, is originally from New Jersey with a degree in music, bringing the “ Jersey shore vibe” to the band. Bat has toured throughout the USA and Canada and has opened for such diverse acts as Cheap Trick, The Duprees, The Belmonts and The Village People. Drum set, cajun, electronic drums, lead and backing vocals is what he brings to Highway 1.
I do the Marketing and Entertainment Bookings for Victory Casino Cruises in Port Canaveral, Florida. For the past several years, we have booked Highway 1, once a week, to perform on our cruises. Our guests love Highway 1. Over the years we have had them join us as a duo, trio and as a full band for several Margarita Madness Cruises. In any formation, they always put on an amazing and memorable show. I would highly recommend Highway 1 for your next party or event. Your friends and guests will have a great time. In addition to being great performers, they always show up on time and are very professional to deal with off the stage. To everyone in Highway 1, I thank you for all you do for us at Victory Casino Cruises, we appreciate you all very much.

Highway 1 has performed at our restaurant, The Golden Lion, Flagler Beach for five years. One of the biggest nights of the year is the presentation of the Best Beach Bar Award, and we were thrilled to have Highway 1 perform that evening. It was a great night with friends, family and good times. The music added ambiance and fun to the event. We have constantly found JT, Tea and Bat to be upbeat, professional and more than willing to stay on when the crowd demands......”just one more”. Having booked music at our establishment for over 24 years, we are proud to have found a great band to add to our music rotation.
We look forward to many future nights of singing along and dancing under the stars to the music of Highway 1.

We were very happy to have Highway 1 entertain us at our clubs 9th annual Gumbo Festival after party. They played a wide variety of music to please everyone and interacted easily with the crowd. They were friends playing music for friends and this was the first time we hired them. We hope to see them again down the road and at other functions in the future. Good luck JT, Tea and Bat.
